  • I watched a documentary for health class about the opioid epidemic and I had to try my very hardest not to laugh hysterically when they played clips of Richard Sackler. Apparently, it had been made after the court videos had been released, but I could only think of Richard Kind when he said "I don't know" or anything else said in this video

  • Maybe all these pharma companies should regulate each other. Pfizer regulates McKesson, McKesson regulates (i don't know any more companies). That way each company will work hard to hamper its rivals as much as possible.

  • THINK BIG! A Transparent Synchronistic Overlay: Why is music constantly related to metals? And, why is it so elusive in its concepts? Music is like metalsmithing in that it is common to want to express the most complex form and technique. It is part of the creative perspective to mean a sort of harm to the viewer or listener because it helps detach the artist and they get more from the process. Lyrics are poetic and they may use a lot of heavy allusion and other rhetorical techniques. I don't think musicians or screenwriters mean harm. I think they mean a lot of harm simply because it's fun and they can. They want the biggest concepts and the heaviest processes. Like with science, religion is an easy target. They may use an early news process in order to seem prophetic to the trickle down. Why not? It's common to later hide the complexity for even more effect. Today, every telegraph (computer) is simplified and buried for complex associations, but the trail of metals still begins with a ring. Mills are modern, yes, but the Pythagorean relationship remains hidden. What machine shop class has a history of metals? The music traditions are like the sacred arts and only the best can stray from the traditional. In short, the heaviest engineering concepts are all metal based and when Pythagoras developed harmonics in sacred geometry he strung metal weights and did the resulting math. P.S. The alchemical traditions have most of the Occult animals and symbology. This is the transmutation of base metals for eternal life and gold. There is a place for love and religion, violence and drugs, simply because those are big concepts and in the vast traditions. This is why protagonists fail. They fail to think big enough. • I know exactly how difficult it is to stop taking OxyContin...., back in 2014 , I was prescribed 80mg of OxyContin for 4 months , and it was absolute psychological torture for me to get off that nightmarish roller coaster ride that that opioid took me on, by scaling down the doses, until I got to zero mg per day. I feel very fortunate to get that monkey ( more like a 900 pound gorilla ) off my back. I know there must still be millions that won't find it any easier to stop taking it than I did...and there must be several million people currently trying to get off of it, and fear how bad it will become to stop taking it. This is as scary as any horror movie, but worse, because it's really happening.

  • Here to comment that on this day, in the middle of the worst year of many of our lives, that Perdue just pleaded guilty to 3 criminal charges. Impeding the DEA's efforts to combat the opioid crisis. Purdue acknowledged that it had not maintained an effective program to prevent prescription drugs from being diverted to the black market, even though it had told the DEA it did have such a program, and that it provided misleading information to the agency as a way to boost company manufacturing quotas. It also admitted paying doctors through a speakers program to induce them to write more prescriptions for its painkillers.

  • For anyone going through any sort of opioid addiction including Heroin and want's to quit but is having a hard time doing it by yourself or just with rehab. Then I would suggest looking up to see if you have any Suboxone clinics in your area. I have been addicted to opioids and heroin for a long time and rehab was something that never helped me. Yet the drug Suboxone has multiple times. Yes it's basically replacing one drug for another. But Suboxone isn't something that is dangerous it might give you a minor high like it does me but it basically just gives me a bit of energy compared to being truly high. The main thing it does though is make it so I have zero urge to use opioids. The 3 times I have been in a Suboxone clinic I have stayed clean for a total of 4 combined years. Any time I left the clinic I started using again after 3 months. Some people unlike me I able to leave the clinic and not have to use Suboxone any longer and stay clean. That isn't the case for me I know myself and if I don't take Suboxone I will go back to using shortly after. Everyone is different just trying to throw out a helpful source for me that was able to get me to stop using opioids.
